Hivemind Times Issue #98

This week's poll is mandatory

Welcome To The Hivemind Times!

We are creeping up on 100 my good folks.

This is issue number 98 of The Hivemind Times. Thank you for reading, thank you for being alive and thanks for all the other stuff you’re doing as long as it aint bad.

I hope some of you enjoyed Pinpoint this week. I am oh so proud of that premise and presentation, man it’s fun to have Grant on camera too. Season 8 is full of surprises, everything isn’t gonna be drastically different and yes Riley's hair is a wig.

For now embrace the change ride with us and just have fun.

POEM OF THE WEEK

This Is a Way

This is a way to be alone, I thought,
but I did not love it.
Somewhere beneath the grey branches
there was a stream.
But the branches hid it like a net.
I preferred the young poplars nearby.
If I had laid down in the ivy
(I must have once)
then at that moment I would have gone.
I stayed to watch.
I smelled the water.
We are supposed to know where we live.
But we always looked around.
Now, I’m looking down in the branches,
imagining insects, mostly beetles
That are red and phosphorescently green,
and that the frogs are sleeping.
A god must have led me here bit by bit.
I can still hear my feet arriving.
They drag in the mud beside the poplars.
A whole group of us meet,
We lean watching the confusion
of branches that hide this stream.
A god would spare us this living,
but there is corruption
and the next step should be a sleep.
I could do that, if I was truly alone,
and when I awoke I would look up
through the poplars,
my thoughts fresh as on a marriage day.
I’d be a cold cup of water
clear enough for you to see yourself in.
