This one is being written late because we have been Grinding for the tube. It brings me joy to bring ya’ll joy truly. It was pretty great to see the card games landing with people this week too. MOVIE REVIEW

Currently watching Hell or High Water, the kind of movie that’ll make a fella say hell yea.

I really wish Taylor Sheridan stuck to writing movies instead of getting sucked into 55 seasons of Yellowstone but hey get your bag big fella.

SPORTS

NBA Notes

The Cavs are on a lil skid and I’m nervous - I jumped the gun about Harden slipping in so seamlessly. Not really but something is off and the wheels need grease before we slide into 5th place and lose homecourt in the first round

Bam’s 83 pts were not ethical. So what, neither is the capitalist system that we all get fucked by everyday. Lets champion those who succeed despite that. I know he’s a 100 millionaire but you get my point.

The Pistons don’t seem as scary as they did pre deadline as well. I do not wish to speak ill of them but with a loss to Brooklyn and Washington in the past week I am finding it hard to be genuinely spooked of the not so bad boys.

3-7 in the West is separated by a game and a half which will ensure at least some dramatic games in this final month of the regular season. Personally I think the T wolves are fakers and if Dillon Brooks comes outta the drunk tank healthy the Suns could be a force to be reckoned with.

POEM OF THE WEEK

Walt Whitman (1819-1892 rolling in his grave)

America

Centre of equal daughters, equal sons,
All, all alike endear’d, grown, ungrown, young or old,
Strong, ample, fair, enduring, capable, rich,
Perennial with the Earth, with Freedom, Law and Love,
A grand, sane, towering, seated Mother,
Chair’d in the adamant of Time.
